Homework: Summary of the Units en 4:57

This homework is for those who haven't done the last homework given.

For next week, Tuesday, November 16th, I need the summaries and Target transcription for Units 10 to 20.

They will be graded.

A musical presentation en 20:53

I leave you the instructions for Thursday’s presentation.

You may choose the way you want to present to the class your song (PowerPoint presentation, Word document, Images, Video, etc.).

As a group, you have to:

-         Choose a song that has a music video (The song has to be in English).

-         Search for the lyric and save it.

-         Read it and then analyse what the song talks about.

-         Identify the band’s (or singer's) music style (genre) and look for information about the band (where it’s from, what style it is, when it was formed, etc.).

-         You may include images and use them as Visual aid.

-         Once you have finished preparing the presentation, burn it on a CD (the computers have Virus and removable disks can’t be read). 

Your presentation must begin with the band (or singer) and talk to us about them with the information you searched for. Then you will talk to us about the song you chose, giving us your interpretation of the song while you show us the lyric (you explain what the song is about). After you present the lyric, we will see the video. At the end of your presentation I want every member of the group to give the class a personal opinion or comment about the song and band (or singer). Also, I will ask questions at the end.

The way you will be evaluated is the same as in the past presentations:

-         Organization

-         Use of visual aids

-         Content depth

-         Formality and appearance

I will NOT accept any excuses for the people who do not bring their presentations on Thursday.

Les dejo las instrucciones  para la presentación del jueves, 11 de noviembre del 2010

Pueden elegir la forma que que deseen para presentar al curso el tema elegido (presentación PowerPoint, documento Word, Imágenes, Videos, etc.).

Como grupo deberán:

-         Elegir una canción que tenga video musical (La canción tiene que ser en Inglés).

-         Buscar la lirica y guardarlo.

-         Leerlo y luego analizar de que trata la canción.

-         Identificar el estilo musical de la banda (o cantante) y buscar información acerca de la banda (de donde es, que estilo toca, cuando se formo, etc.).

-         Pueden incluir imágenes y utilizarlas como apoyo visual.

-         Una vez que hayan terminado de preparar su presentación, grábenlo en un disco (los computadores tienen virus y los discos extraíbles no se pueden leer). 

Sus presentaciones deben comenzar con la banda (o cantante) que escogieron, utilizando la información buscada. Luego, hablaran acerca del tema escogido, dando una interpretación del tema mientras muestran la lirica (explican de qué trata el tema). Después de presentar la lirica, veremos el video y al final de su presentación quiero que cada integrante del grupo entregue una opinión personal o comentario acerca del tema y la banda (o cantante). Además, les hare preguntas al final.

La forma que serán evaluados será la misma que en presentaciones pasadas:

-         Organización

-         Uso de apoyo visual

-         Profundidad de contenido

-         Formalidad y apariencia

NO ACEPTARE EXCUSAS de aquellos que no traen sus presentaciones el día jueves.
